Jovana Miletic was born in Serbia, with her formative years spent in Sydney, where she trained in the Russian classical ballet and RAD syllabus, receiving her Solo Seal award at seventeen years of age.
Attending the prestigious high school; McDonald College of Performing Arts then led to her acceptance into WAAPA (The Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts) graduating as an actor in 2009.
In 2011 Jovana moved to London, where she worked as an actor and furthered her training attending workshops by such greats as Linda Marlowe, Anna Chancellor, Joan Collins and Mike Leigh, until her return in 2013.
Upon her return to Sydney Jovana received high acclaim from audience and reviewers alike for her portrayal of the charismatic and cheeky Rosalind in Roger Hodgman's rendition of As You Like Like with BSSTC.
Jovana has, over the last few years, expanded her skills into directing and movement choreography for the theatre. In early 2012 she directed 'Beginning Again' a short film that premiered in Belgrade, Serbia. In 2014 she had her directing debut in Sydney with Short & Sweet Short Play Festival and has since studied directing with the University of New England, becoming a fully fledged graduate in 2016.
*** Some reviews for As You Like It, BSSTC, Dir: Roger Hodgman, 2014
“So I was a little wary of Rosalind (Jovana Miletic) and Celia (the sweet, spirited Grace Smibert) as BFF schoolgirls. They are bright young things, to be sure but the journey they must make from their giggles and shy glances at the court to Rosalind's transcendent wisdom and grace in the forest is formidable.
I needn't have worried. This Rosalind may be younger, and more coltish, than I imagine her to be, but Miletic is gorgeous, unfailingly authentic and self-possessed throughout. (I don't want to be a jinx, but there is something of Cate Blanchett about her.)

THE WEST AUSTRALIAN
“The play is packed with minor, undeveloped characters (from the pointless neg Jaques to the simpleton William), which only makes Jovana Miletic’s performance as the delightful, cross-dressing Rosalind more enjoyable. Lively, charming and sweet, Miletic is the star of the show. Embodying her character completely, the show drags when she is not on stage to drive the action”
Samuel J. Cox,
COLOSOUL MAGAZINE
“As You Like It stands or falls on the strengths of its Rosalind, and a willowy Jovana Miletic utterly convinces with her take on “how fathom deep I am in love”.
Victoria Laurie
THE AUSTRALIAN
“Rosalind is the only female main character in the Shakespearean canon, and she has more lines than any other woman in his entire oeuvre…Miletic did more than justice to the role. She is a fine addition to the company, and I hope she will remain with them for a while”
