Together with this has been a small feature on an upcoming Doritos commercial .The year ended with a scene in the filmed for US TV series 'The Reckoning' 2017 was reasonably busy as far as auditions and call backs, for a variety of commercials, as well as numerous stints on Home & Away. The year ended being involved in a dramatic scene for the 2018 season of Rake. 2016 saw Matthew Jarrett cast in two commercials (Home Timber and Hardware and the National Security Hotline government campaign). As well Matt reprised his Prison Officer role for the second Home & Away movie event for Foxtel 'All or Nothing'. Matt also appeared in the dramatic Home & Away plane crash rescue episode as an SES officer. On the training front Matt attended two TAFTA Screentest Workshops, one with Chicken & Chips casting and the other with Lou Mitchell from Maura Fay. In 2015 Matt was cast as 'the rowing coach' as part of an ensemble for a National Mistsubishi 'It's a Mitsi' car commercial campaign. Matthew also made some uncredited appearances in Home and Away, as a Prison Officer, including a role in the ''An Eye for an Eye' movie event on Presto. During this year Matthew also attended a few casting screentest workshops at TAFTA with local Casting directors, Thea McLeod and Andrew Thompson. In June 2014 Matthew was cast in an Episode of Ch9's 'Love Child' (Season 2) as a Drunk Man (see Credit clips)(screened 2015) In October 2013, Matthew was a cast member on an episode of ABC's ''The Code'' spy drama as a 'Chipper Man (Mr Barstow)'. Also in October, Matthew was cast in the opening scene of an episode of the Ch 7 period drama, 'A Place to Call Home', as an SS Nazi Captain In March 2013 Matthew was cast as Toby Holt, in the Behind Mansion Walls production of 'Kill for Cash' (screened in the US in July 2013) In February 2013 Matthew was cast as a Court Officer in the Crownies spin-off, 'Janet King' on the ABC - screened in 2014. Prior to these roles in 2011 Matthew was cast as a Court Officer in Crownies and landed another credited role in Underbelly Razor (as the 'Client') Matthew is an Acting Graduate of the Open Program run through the Australian College of Entertainment (Castle Hill) in 2004. Matthew regularly participates in acting workshops, as an accompaniment to his acting career, including the Professional Actors Workshops (PAWS) at the Australian Institute for Performing Arts with various LA Casting Directors ( eg Lisa Beach (skype session), Gary Zuckerbrod and Jeff Gelber), together with the NIDA Open Program (01/2012). In Jan/Feb 2014 Matthew completed a Sydney Drama School course on Camera techniques (run through Toni Higginbotham) Matthew is a trained musician and enjoys surfing, gym, a casual game of golf and has practiced various dance styles, such as jive and latin. Matthew has also studied and trained as a voiceover artist.
