I recently retired after working many years as a commercial television news presenter and producer, so I am very experienced at working on camera in both pre-recorded and 'live' situations.
As a permanent resident and citizen of Australia, I've been employed at Channel Nine and Channel 10 in Brisbane and more recently at Channel 7 in Melbourne and NBN Television news in Coffs Harbour New South Wales.
Since leaving the broadcast media four years ago, I've used my speaking voice and writing skills on freelance corporate media commercials and on company promotional websites
Over the years I've pursued acting in amateur and semi professional productions. I have acted in local little theatre plays and in my younger days, college plays, musical shows and movie club productions. I have also performed as an MC at functions - mainly weddings and engagement parties - but also at a couple of business lunches.
In Brisbane, I have completed regular acting courses organised by Agency 888 and Ben Parkinson Casting Studios.
Musically, I play guitar and harmonica and enjoy singing. I am a regular at Brisbane karaoke venues.
When it comes to sport, I play tennis, table tennis and golf. I have three cars including a vintage sports car convertible and I hold a current drivers and motorcycle licence in Queensland.
I also have a Queensland motorbike licence and I can ride horses at a canter - but resist the urge to gallop.
I am hopeful of getting speaking roles in movies and/or tv commercials in the near future.
