Gideon T Smith is a Wellington-based actor of Samoan and Chinese descent. With a background in dance (specialising in hip hop, break dance, krump, and Pacific contemporary) Gideon studied acting at Toi Whakaari: New Zealand Drama School, graduating from the three-year degree in 2022. During his time at drama school, Gideon continued to perform as a dancer, including several works with highly-regarded Pacific performing arts company Le Moana. Shortly after graduating, Gideon was cast in a key supporting role in feature film GRAFTED, set for release in 2024. Alongside acting and dance, Gideon practises several martial arts including capoeira, Muay Thai and jiu jitsu.
