James Padley is a Melbourne based actor, voice artist, and presenter whose love of performing was sparked in 1994 when a meerkat and a warthog taught him that a life full of music and comedy was a life worth living. Pursuing his childhood dreams, James graduated from the Victorian College of the Arts in 2011 with a Bachelor of Music Theatre.
As a performer, he has found success through his time working for Life Like Touring’s theatrical productions of the beloved Peppa Pig franchise, as well as being employed in various voice over roles for clients such as Monash University, Simonds Homes, Yellow Pages, Lighthouse Foundation, and more.
Currently he is working as the producer, host, and panellist of Thursday’s Kiss 87.6FM Breakfast Show. He has a great understanding and experience with connecting to a young audience, ensuring his segments are always fresh and engaging, and using his humour to appeal and connect to the likes and interests of listeners.
Outside of the performance world, James’ full-time role is as Team Leader and Senior Presenter at Elevate Education. His role requires him to deliver engaging, funny, and interactive study skills seminars to high school students, parents, and staff from very diverse schools. His greatest strength as a public speaker lies in his storytelling – altering content, anecdotes, jokes, stories, and interactions (often on the fly) for maximum engagement with any given audience. He holds the record for most seminars presented worldwide (over 1700), and has presented across 8 different countries.
