South African born , bred Australian DON CALYA is a MULTI-TALENTED ARTIST, who has done various works within the entertainment industry. From Model/Casting bookings, singing competitions/performances, musical theatre and FASHION WEEK INFLUENCING. The ALT-star in recent years has built a solid underground foundation and recently mainstream, not only through her creative music genre but her strong performance skills within acting and fashion statements. Networking/Collaborating alongside COSTA TITCH, BOSKASIE, BREEZE ZULU BASS KING, PATTY MONROE, GIGI LAMAYNE, UNCLE WAFFLES etc. Most recently, Don Calya appeared on the Joox South Africa Live platform, performing in two virtual shows. She also performed on So Far Sounds Cape Town’s Instagram Live, featuring in Sportscene’s WEEKEND TURN-UP Segment and recently signing and releasing single "COUNT ON YOU" with Universal Music Publishing Africa, Performing Single "COUNT ON YOU" on EXPRESSO IN THE MORNING on SABC3. She has now been approached and signed World Wide recognized music companies, ELECTROMODE INGROOVES and PARADISE SOUND SYSTEM. Which she has released her FIRST EVER EP "THE ARRVAL" currently airing across South African Radio stations, 2 music video's rotating on TRACE URBAN and currently a music video that had been shot and will be released with international alcohol brand JAGERMEISTER. The ALT-STAR is also known for her daring, courage's and bold style. this stems from the song-stress passion for fashion. She had graduated with a fashion certificate at the age of 17, studying part-time at a fashion college while still in school which led her to study a Bachelor of Honors in Fashion Design, at the Whitehouse Institute of Design in Sydney, Australia. She has since done influencer work for SA FASHION WEEK , SOUTH AFRICAN BRAND S.P.C.C and REBIRTH SA (rebirth has appeared in SA fashion week pop-up's and appeared on SA runaways).Recently been approached by HAGO CONSULATION to join their influencer team. She is Unapologetic for her confident ways in ensuring to move different within the entertainment/fashion industry ensuring to leave a unique impact, Stating; "I Aim to be a voice for the youth and my generation, creating a legacy that can give access and opportunities to those who can’t afford to live their dream."
