Notes

Kristin’s career has taken her from Melbourne to London and back. After graduating from VCA Drama she became part of the comedy circuit, performing her own songs and being a popular regular on the TV shows of the late ‘80s: HEY! HEY! IT’S SATURDAY!, THE COMEDY COMPANY and THE MIDDAY SHOW. She sang for Graham Murphy’s haunting ballet NEARLY BELOVED with the Sydney Dance Company and also worked with the Victorian State Opera in the children’s classic SID THE SERPENT. In London and around the UK she played many roles in music theatre, including Charity Barnum in BARNUM, for which she received standout reviews. West End: Edith in PIRATES OF PENZANCE at the London Palladium, where she also appeared in the charity gala of HELLO DOLLY, directed by Tommy Tune and starring Broadway legends Chita Rivera and Carol Channing. For Andrew Lloyd-Webber’s Really Useful Group: Rose in ASPECTS OF LOVE and Mother in WHISTLE DOWN THE WIND. Other roles include: Vi Petty in BUDDY (UK tour) Coquette in GENTLEMAN PREFER BLONDES (Barbican), MARRY ME A LITTLE (Wimbledon Theatre), STARTING HERE, STARTING NOW for Plumtree Productions, and a one-woman show at London’s Jermyn Street Theatre, WHERE DO YOU START? She also played Meg in the London premiere of Tony MacNamara’s black comic play of Aussie Rules and family breakdown, THE RECRUIT. She was the first Australian to perform with the Perth Repertory Theatre in Scotland, first as Pitti Sing in THE MIKADO and then as the Queen of Light in MOTHER GOOSE. Kristin returned to Australia to tour Australia for 6 months with Terence O’Connell’s evocative play, MINEFIELDS AND MINISKIRTS for the Malthouse Theatre. She was then the devious mayor of Erinsborough in NEIGHBOURS before she popped over to the Caribbean to shoot the POWERBALL commercial. Recently she played Nadia in SPENCER, Martyn Parks' award winning film. She is passionate about new work and regularly appears in workshop presentations. This led to taking a MMus in Songwriting at Bath Spa University and she is now writing a song cycle, THE KOOSER PROJECT.
