Hailing from Brisbane, Jake grew up dancing, before playing semi-professional football. In 2019, after a near-death experience while snowboarding in Japan, he quit his corporate job and moved to the UK to be a Stand-Up Comedian. While in London, he landed a series-regular role on 'In the Trade', a mini-series averaging 1 million views an episode. After 2 seasons, COVID halted production and Jake was forced to move back to Australia. Ever the optimist, he decided to take the chance to put himself through Drama school (Actors Centre Australia).
At ACA he performed the roles of Brack in Hedda Gabler, John in Speaking in Tongues, Derek in A Conversation, King Edward in Richard III, various roles in The Laramie Project and The Boy in Antigone. He also directed Michael Gow’s Toy Symphony, which received rave reviews. During his studies, he collaborated, externally, with Belgian artist, and ACA alumni, John Fabry, to create the independent physical theatre company TOI, which had its debut production, ICHOR, in July of 2023, and enjoyed huge success. Before graduating ACA, he was also cast in Sport for Jove's 'Timon of Athens', which played at Leura Everglades, during their summer season of 2024, and received 5 star reviews.
A writer, director, producer, stand-up comedian and actor, Jake’s excited to make and take work that satiates his passion for entertainment.
