Notes

Originally from Perth, Reuben took the long road on his way to ACA, commencing his formal actor training with a BA in English Literature and Philosophy behind him, and after living in Central Australia for several years working in Youth Work and Community Development. During his first year at ACA Reuben founded the ACA Writers Group, as a place for ACA students to develop and hone their writing practice. The group is in its third year now and is a testament to Reuben’s passion for collaboration and cooperation in artistic practice. He is passionate about education and the role performance plays in building connections between communities. During his time at ACA Reuben played Jorgen Tesman in Hedda Gabler, Michael in The Business, Antonio in Twelfth Night, Glenn in The Boys, Juror 9 in 12 Angry Men, and Charles Sackville/Harry Harris in The Libertine. Reuben was also fortunate enough to co-direct and perform in two Writers Group showcase performances: No Feedback Please in 2022 and Paper Cuts in 2023.
