TEGAN CROWLEY has played both dramatic and comedic, lead and support roles in Film & TV including La Brea S2, Better Man, Hard Times to Fall in Love, Superwog S2, Plague and Lion. Tegan’s childhood burning desire to pursue acting has driven her to create a cornucopia of characters, eclectic yet Universal in their study of the human condition. “I believe stories are medicine, and that by sharing and experiencing others’ traits, joys & pains, we get a greater sense of what it is to be human.” Tegan’s characters are underpinned by a primal survival instinct - the young wife, despondent and disturbed by the growing ills of her marriage (The Kids On Murphy Street), a dangerously cornered, streetwalker, face-to-face with the law (And Behold), a lone wolf, set on survival (Blue Games) a domestic abuse survivor seeking justice (Shove). Talented, versatile and exhibiting an ephemeral quality, Tegan is also a singer with The Urban Crowley Collective. Music has a magical pull for her that keeps her on her toes and truly connected with her characters vulnerabilities. She says “when I sing, I feel striped bare and seen. There’s no character to hide behind - just me, and my voice.” Tegan is NIDA trained and a graduate of the National Theatre. Behind the camera, Tegan is active in onset coaching (child actors) and in the Intimacy Coordination space. Something extra: “I love courageous people. The underdog, I guess. I love championing a character and watching them continue against all odds. Warriors of sorts. I also love fantasy and magic. Think Arwen or Galladriel from Lord of the Rings… emotional, powerful kickass."
