Declan Maloney

Declan is thirteen years old and in high school in Brisbane. He has been participating in community theatre productions since 2023 with Beenleigh Theatre Group and Brisbane Arts Theatre, and he has been attending drama classes since he was ten, honing his stage skills in their twice-yearly showcase productions. With a deep love for acting and drama, he brings a genuine enthusiasm and joyfulness to all his roles and performances. Declan is profoundly deaf, but he doesn’t let this hold him back for a moment. He has cochlear implants and speaks clearly and confidently and with no trace of a deaf accent. Declan is very tall for his age, and depending on the role he could pass for a young adult or older teenager. He has a 6 year old sister called Clementine.
