REVIEWS:
THE IMPORTANCE OF BEING EARNEST
"Most impressive is the performance of Ryan A. Murphy as Lady Bracknell, who's interpretation of the woman likens to that of The Queen of Hearts in the animated Disney classic Alice in Wonderland. His dramatic contrast between self-righteous refinement and piercing intimidation and outright explosive anger is achieved without stepping into the tacky territory of a panto dame. His performance is both truthful and outrageous." Stacey Camilleri - You Should See It Melbourne
OUTSIDE THE BOX
"There are some stunning vignettes and terrific performances from a talented cast. Standout performances come from Ryan A. Murphy, who is quite wonderful and creates his own empathy as Eddie, and also gives a great performance as the Gardener." Coral Douyn - Stage Whispers
"Ryan A. Murphy is simply superb! Moving from the out-of-breath smoking gardener to the university student battling a mental illness, Murphy is confident, strong and commands the stage. With just a change of a coat, Murphy manages to take on a totally different and believable persona." Allison Hilbig- Theatre People
"Despite some stories working better than others, the actors’ commitment does not waver. I particularly enjoyed Murphy’s characterizations of Eddie and Arthur." Myron My - Theatre Press
TRUE WEST
“As Lee, Ryan A. Murphy is an original. He plays him as a loose cannon, exploding at the slightest provocation. Murphy’s performance appears so real at times, it is genuinely frightening. The young actor channels Marlon Brando from A Streetcar Named Desire, Robert De Niro from Cape Fear, and Jack Nicholson from The Shining all rolled into one.” Nick Pilgrim- Theatre People
THE MAN OF MODE
"Murphy (Handy/Bellair), gives outstanding multiple performances. The marginal characters deliver with exquisite diction and comic timing." Lyn Zelen- Theatre People
