Hello, If you're reading this then I would hope you maybe interested in me for a possible casting/role of sorts, and I appreciate the interest, thank you. Though having now the opportunity to say something about myself that may some how make my chances of auditioning for you greater. I'll stick to what I know. If you make them laugh, make them cry, and then keep them thinking. Well then Im a chance. It would be great to have an opportunity professionally to work outside that which I am typically cast, the thug, a stand over type character or the security guy/doorman with the bad attitude. Any character requires equally as much research as any other, even those that are closer to my own persona. Making them interesting and engaging for the audience is the substance of this art. I do not believe I'll ever play "Romeo". My physicality will have a governing effect on any casting, as I am often reminded. Which is just the way it is. But I am not just that. My past professional life playing rugby league has shown me every move made always has to be played at the highest absolute stakes. Otherwise if you drop the ball so to speak, the team not just you risk failing/losing. Plus let's not forget sport is just another style of theatre anyway. Look where it's play for starters, in a theatre. To entertain a crowd/audience. I played rugby league for nearly 15 years at the highest level's of the game. I fully accept thats not where I started. I had to earn my "lucky breaks". Which is the very philosophy I still use with my acting. Id ask simply for a chance to be able to audition for roles out side of solely whats written in "The break down and/or brief". "King Lear" is close to one of my most favourite Shakespeare plays. So I feel its very appropriate to end my blurb with my absolute favourite Shakespeare line. And more simply because at times it more or less describes the feelings I have in regard to the frustration that comes with this craft. "Thou art a soul in bliss; but I am bound Upon a wheel of fire, that mine own tears Do scald like molten lead."
