Vocal Range Alto Bernadette Pryde is a Matilda Award nominated actor and a graduate of NIDA (Voice Studies), QUT (Actor Training) and USQ (Biography). She appears in commercials for Coke, NAB, Fiji Kava, QLD Health. She features in short films for Screen QLD, Bent3Land Productions, Frabjous Productions, and the SAE, QUT and Griffith University Film Schools. You can see her in ABC's television series "East of Everything". On stage her work ranges from Shakespeare to Children's Theatre, working for companies including Ad Astra, 4MBS Shakespeare Festival, La Boîte, Griffin Theatre, Shakespeare Where You Like It and Movie World. She has toured Australia in productions for Imaginary Theatre, Chris Canute Productions and Queensland Arts Council. Bernadette loves voicing animated characters, specialising in everything from pixies to monsters to busy Mums. You may hear her sultry tones in the film trailer for "Girl Clock", Brilliant Film's 2018 Coke commercial or a series of advertisements for USQ Open Days. Bernadette performs her version of the legendary singer Judy Garland in the original music theatre shows "Ms. Garland at Twilight" and "Judy Strikes Back".. You can catch her singing jazz and blues at the Brisbane Jazz Club. She is a proud member of Actors Equity, joining in 1990 when she got her first professional gig. Bernadette is represented by the boutique agency BMEG.
