Rhys Mitchell is best known for his portrayal of Kayne Wheeler in ABC's top-rating, award-winning comedy series, Upper Middle Bogan. Although he was recently seen as Scooter in ABC’s powerful drama series Barracuda based on the novel by Christos Tsiolkas (The Slap). Rhys is an actor, film-maker and producer having co-founded Jerry Projects with Jessica Barclay Lawton. Together they produced the short film, We Keep On Dancing which screened at over twenty six film festivals receiving multiple nominations and being awarded the Best Live Action Short Film at the Palm Springs Film Festival as well as receiving Festival Honours at Newport Beach Film Festival and a Vimeo Staff Pick. Rhys was instrumental in the creative development of the Screen Australia funded web series Movement with Maria Angelico which was screened at the Tribecca Film Festival before winning the Best of Spotlight Award at the Melbourne Web Fest.
