Testimonials: “Working with Cooper and watching him bring his character to life was for me, one of the highlights of the whole project. He repeatedly impressed everyone with his professionalism in a difficult role showing dedication well beyond his years. I’m sure that we will be seeing a lot more of this talented young man.” Iain Appleyard Director ABSENT To whomever might be looking for a young actor, look no further. Cooper van Grootel is a young performer, however his talent and maturity on set was that of someone decades older. I worked with Cooper on a short documentary for the City of Gosnells museum. The piece explored the family history and life on an orchard. Cooper helped bring a lot of fun to the set, however was humbled and respectful for the real life events that he was asked to represent. He was professional in attitude and is a wonderful young performer. I would recommend him to anyone looking for a young actor. Thanks again, Cooper. You made the days so much easier than I thought it'd be. Good luck with the future. Taylor Bates. He was focused, generous and showed great ability and talent and was quiet and attentive at all times.” Melanie Rodriga – Snr Lecturer & Academic Chair Graduate Screen Program – Murdoch University 'Cooper was fantastic to work with on set. He was very professional and took direction well. Cooper has a nice screen presence and an ability to listen to direction easily and apply that to his acting naturally. I would recommend him to anyone as he is a great actor and has huge potential' - Jade Chamberlain (Director/Writer of short film Resonance) Year 11 ATAR Drama 2017 - Highest ranked student at Carine Senior High School.
