Nina Diaz is a Chilean/Uruguayan dancer and actress from Melbourne. New to the industry Nina has worked with professionals such as Greg Apps, Alison Telford, Scott Major and John Orcsik participating in numerous workshops, short courses and masterclasses as well as undergoing private coaching with Emily Joy.
Nina has trained extensively in dance, competing nationally in styles of jazz, lyrical, contemporary, hip hop, pom and acrobatics. Her training has seen her compete in numerous competitions around Australia, also having the opportunity to compete for Dancer of the Year in the most competitive competition in Australia back in 2016. Whilst trained in numerous styles, Nina’s favourite styles are lyrical/contemporary as well as acrobatics due to her experience as a gymnast.
Over the past two years Nina has gained short film, television and commercial credits. In 2017, Nina had the opportunity to work alongside Lara Robinson in a teaser trailer for short film St. Bernies. In 2018 Nina also worked on a Clickview series called Social Media Me and in her most recent project, Nina played lead character Prinny in a multicultural web series called Gangster Dreaming.
Nina is a passionate and hard working individual determined to make a name for herself and other aspiring Latina actresses in the Australian film and tv industry.
