Lawrence Ola is a Sydney based Actor, Voice Artist and Songwriter, best known for his comedic commercial work for Sleeping Duck, Kennards Hire and Step One. Prior to his creative pursuits, he worked in manufacturing for over 8 years before deciding to switch careers. His screen credits include This Little Love of Mine (Jaggi Entertainment), Upright (Foxtel), Wellmania (Netflix) Cloudy River (SBS on Demand) and The Messenger (ABC). Lawrence also appeared in the shorts The Blow Up and Rudy (Like the Pepper Films) which were part of the Sydney Underground Festival ‘23, The New Boyfriend (Valiant Films) which was a finalist for the Best Australian Short Film competition ‘24 and Social Distance (Conti Bros), which won 3rd place in the comedy category for the My RØDE Reel competition in 2020. Having successfully transitioned into voice over, he made his voice acting debut in ABC’s Reef School. Lawrence also writes and records as an independent songwriter, releasing material under the name Bohifale. His single, Kind Enough to Wait, was a finalist in the Made in the West Film Fest ‘21. He has also contributed to songwriting for several TVC jingles airing both locally and internationally. Lawrence is currently helping to produce the drama/comedy miniseries Falling in Slow Motion (Sarah Dinsey Film Productions), and will appear in horror/comedy Residence (Breeding Ground Pictures) and Newcastle drama Strangers in a Car Park (McBrat Motion Pictures), both set for release in 2024.
