Rebecca was born 'Off Broadway' in New York City, and has been performing ever since. At the age of 10 she performed in her first musical in Dublin, in the lead role of 'Annie'. She went on to perform a wide range of roles on stage, including Anne in 'The Diary of Anne Frank', Sandy in 'Grease', Mayzie in 'Seussical', and Belle in Disney's 'Beauty and the Beast'.
Most of Rebecca's childhood was spent in New Zealand, running barefoot through the supermarket and eating fish & chips at the beach. Once Rebecca finished high school in Auckland, she went on to study Acting full time at Unitec and completed a Bachelors Degree in Performing and Screen Arts. A range of guest star and recurring roles on network shows including Power Rangers and Shortland Street followed for her, and then it was time to move to Los Angeles.
Rebecca had only been in the US a month when she attained her first audition - and a few days later, she had been cast in her first lead role in an American feature film 'Quarries'. She plays the role of Brit: a bubbly, inclusive, and incredibly chatty young woman from Aotearoa. Quarries is an action-packed, female-driven thriller that will have you on the edge of your seat!
Since then, a fun and diverse range of projects have kept Rebecca on her toes - including her own short films ' Bad Kiwis' and 'Bad Kiwis 2: Kiwi Driver', which she co-wrote, produced, directed and starred in with a fellow New Zealand filmmaker. These films have received great acclaim from film festivals all over the USA, and there are rumors that a third film is in the works!
As a storyteller first and foremost, Rebecca’s goal is to truly move people through the stories she tells, and in turn, create positive change throughout the world - or if at the very least, make you laugh!
