In 20217/18 I co created what was at the time one of New Zealand most popular podcasts, that was played weekly on Radio New Zealand over 6 months. I created it while tramping the 3000km Te Araroa trail from one end of NZ to the other. https://www.rnz.co.nz/programmes/the-long-walk
I was a professional contemporary dancer for 8 yrs in my 20s, then a fulltime company actor at Auckland Mercury Theatre for 2yrs before freelancing. I had a comedy duo called Des & Les for a number years, hosted talk back radio shows for 5 yrs & am known for my versatility. My character in Lord of The Rings was expanded from what was to be a 1 week shoot to a lead support character shooting for 60 days over 9 months. I was informed by the producers this was because they liked the feel of my character & what I brought to him. I state this to highlight that when given a role I usually bring more that what was expected to the character.
