Ana grew up in Māngere in Tāmaki Makaurau and is Tongan (Kolovai)/Palangi(NZ/Irish). She is an Acting graduate of Toi Whakaari: New Zealand Drama School. Since graduating Ana has worked in theatre, film and TV as an actor and voice over artist, an also as a film production manager and radio broadcaster. In 2020 she established UPU COLLECTIVE - a theatre production company alongside Fasitua Amosa & Grace Iwashita Taylor to produce on ongoing tours of the award winning theatre show UPU in which she also performs in. They are committed to growing opportunities for Pasifika artists to develop, create and present theatre works that centre storytelling from our sea of islands and champion Pasifika artists holding full agency over their work at every stage. In 2022 she was selected for the South Shorts NZ Film Commission writing mentorship program with Briar Grace Smith and currently has her first short film in development. Her recent screen credits include NZ comedy series - Duckrockers and the critically acclaimed Australian TV series – Totally, Completely Fine. She is a mother to two children Otis and Tallulah, and she is also a very accomplished tennis player and came out of retirement earlier this year to enter her local tennis club champs at the request of her son and managed to pick up the Titirangi Club Champs title for the singles and doubles for 2023!
